Last week our managing partner Milen Ivanov attended the AngelFest in Budapest, brought to us by HUNBan. The event saw together passionate entrepreneurs, visionary investors, and industry experts, all sharing a common goal: to nurture and elevate the startup ecosystem in Budapest and beyond.
The event was a dynamic showcase of innovation, featuring insightful panel discussions, thought-provoking workshops, pitching contest and networking opportunities that sparked collaborations and partnerships. Milen took part in a panel discussion on cross-border collaboration of angel networks, business angels and VC´s. Whilst all agree, that this could be a means of fostering growth, in daily life not a lot happens – a clear call to action to intensify co-operation, exchange deal-flow and invest in syndicates.
This panel discussion of the event was moderated by Imre Hild – the discourse revolved around how important it is to maintain active connections with foreign „angel organizations,“ not only on a domestic but also on an international level. Alongside Milen from SAV, the other participants in the panel included: Paul Putz (Danube Angels) and Petra Wolkenstein (Startup Wise Guys).
Although the discussion started early, and many were still sipping their morning coffee, the topic was all the more important, as global information flow is crucial for success.
