Bistra Kirova, Managing Partner of Sofia Angels Ventures, took part in this year’s issue of Forbes DNA of Success Forum & Awards 2023 as a panelist.
This year’s Forbes DNA of Success Forum & Awards was held on 11th October 2023 in Grand Hotel Millennium in Sofia, Bulgaria. The event saw over 200 participants – from entrepreneurs and managers of large enterprises to investors – from Business Angels to Venture Capitalists.
During the Forum, a range of inspiring interviews and presentations were held – from Bulgaria and international. The main topic was the slowing down of the VC market and how would that impact the Bulgarian entrepreneurs. Under the moderation of Rumen Sokolov, editor at Forbes Bulgaria, three investors discussed the possibilities for Bulgarian startups of obtaining financing in this not-so-favorable environment – Bistra Kirova (Managing Partner at SAV), Diana Aladzhova (Partner at Silverline Capital) and Angel Angelov (Managing Partner at Innovation Capital). Some of those include alternatives such as “friends and family” and the alternative stock exchange segment – BEAM.
Other presentations included inspiring words from Krasimir Kotsev (Co-founder of SoCyber), Jane Dimitrova (Co-founder of FoodOBox) and Atanas Enev (Co-founder of Byomic).
