Sofia Angels Ventures – Announcement
We at Sofia Angels Ventures (SAV) are happy to announce the success of our event, organized by us in collaboration with the European Commission. The event focuses on EU’s Digital Markets Act and how it brings opportunities for the Bulgarian startups and ecosystem.
The event, which was held at the House of Europe in Sofia, Bulgaria, on the 20th February 2024, brought together a diverse group of entrepreneurs, industry experts, and stakeholders eager to delve into the implications of the Digital Markets Act for the startup ecosystem in Bulgaria. Attendees were treated to an insightful program featuring engaging talks, interactive panel discussions with a Q&A section, and valuable networking opportunities.
We would like to extend our gratitude to all participants, especially our esteemed guests – Mrs. Milena Stoycheva – Minister of Innovations and Growth of Bulgaria, our keynote speaker – Mr. Eoghan O’Neil, Senior Policy Officer, DMA/DSA, Platforms Directorate, European Commission, Mr. Boyko Blagoev, Head of European Commission Representation in Bulgaria a.i. and Mr. Boyan Dombalov, Partner, Head of Startups and VCs, DSP Law Office.
The response from the attendees post-event was overwhelmingly positive, with many expressing their appreciation for the relevance of the topic. The Digital Markets Act holds immense potential for startups in Bulgaria, and we at SAV were inspired to see the community come together to explore how we can leverage this opportunity for growth and innovation.
