Customer Problem
Physical grain trade is a complex, manual and time-consuming task. Deals between farmers and buyers are negotiated over the phone or via “in-person” meetings. Тransparency for grain prices, product availability and new trade opportunities is significantly limited. Buyers and sellers are geographically dispersed and such disconnection creates trade opportunities for middlemen, who collect fees ranging between 0.5% and 3% of the transaction value.

Agriniser facilitates physical trade between buyers and sellers of grains, oilseeds and pulses. The platform provides price discovery, product availability, 24/7 market access, saving time for all participants. Cross border trade allows for better trading opportunities across different market players.
Target Market
There are 10.7+ million farmers and buyers in the EU28 alone, 5.2+ million are specialised in grains. Participants are grain growers, processors (mills, crushing plants, feed plants, alcohol plants, bio fuel), traders. Agriniser is capable to facilitate the connection between such parties both nationally and internationally. The platform will provide more transparency, expanded market reach and flexibility to negotiate deals 24/7 from anywhere.
Business Model
Agriniser will make money from both sides of the transaction (buyers and sellers), by charging one-off connection fees and subscription plans.
In addition, we shall integrate ancillary services such as grain inspection tests, payment guarantee, transportation. The platform will generate and sell important pricing and market information. As a digital marketplace, there are no physical boundaries to scale the business internationally.
Customer Segments
Three main groups:
Grain growers and farmers - companies and family businesses
Processors - flour mills, oil crushers, feed factories, alcohol factories, bio fuel factories etc.
Traders and exporters - small, medium, large players who facilitate the buying and selling of grain in the traditional trading system. Multinational companies that buy, sell and export grain on the local and international markets.
Sales & Marketing Strategy
Agriniser uses a diverse mix of acquisition and retention strategies. This includes ad spend and direct marketing, niche media channels, participation on exhibitions and trade shows, collaborations with various agri organisation, educational and market information.
Competitors
There is a a limited number of digital channels and platforms, helping the grain trading process across North America, Canada, Australia and Europe. Most of them are auction based platforms that do not allow 24/7 free market access and do not provide the flexibility to negotiate specific deal terms in an unbiased environment. Alternative competitors are online ads and brokers or middlemen that are often inefficient and depress profit margins.

Agriniser is a new concept in the grain trading space. The real-time negotiations component and the anonymous trading environment create unique opportunities for the parties involved. There is lack of digital channels in the agricultural space, which allows us to be amongst the first movers in the grain marketing chain.
